(KRON) -- It has now been nearly two weeks since wildfires devastated parts of Maui.Hawaii is a popular tourist destination for Bay Area travelers. While some may be reconsidering their planned trips, Hawaii's governor shared this message about vacationing on the islands (watch in video player above). (AP) — Florida backup running back Cam Carroll will miss the season after tearing a knee ligament during a scrimmage, coach Billy Napier said Saturday.Carroll, a sixth-year senior who transferred from Tulane, was expected to provide depth this fall behind Montrell Johnson and Trevor Etienne. Carroll ran for 1,638 yards and 19 touchdowns in five years with the Green Wave.He appeared in just one game last season before suffering a season-ending leg injury. Alek Manoah has yet to make a start for triple-A Buffalo, eight days after he was optioned there by the Toronto Blue Jays.Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Saturday that Manoah remains in Toronto and the date for his next start has not been determined.Manoah was optioned down to the minors for the second time this season on Aug. 11 and told to focus on refining his pitch delivery. His last start saw him allow four earned runs across four innings against the Cleveland Guardians.Manoah was a finalist for the American League Cy Young award last year but has struggled this season with a 3-9 record, 5.87 ERA and uncharacteristic 59 walks.
