LOUIS - A trademark lawsuit against St. Louis chain 'Mission Taco Joint' ends in a settlement.According to FOX 2's partners at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, 'Mission Foods,' a Texas-based tortilla and chip manufacturer, was suing 'Mission Taco Joint' for trademark infringement. 'Gruma,' the parent company of Mission Foods, says the word "mission" distinctively signifies their products, and Mission Taco Joint's use of the word is deceptive. LOUIS - St. Louis City is on track for its biggest drop in homicides compared to the previous year in about 90 years.According to FOX 2's partners at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, homicides in the city remain down about 20% from last year. 3 cities approve marijuana taxes

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. - A weed tax passes.Voters in St. Charles, Arnold, and St. John approved special 3% municipal taxes on recreational marijuana sales. And voters in the Rockwood School District approved a plan to shift property tax revenue from homeowners.66% of voters said yes. Under the new plan, 54 cents for every $100 of assessed value will go toward school district operations instead of debt service. Homicide victim ID’d in 1987 Colorado cold case

After 36 years, forensic experts identified a 1987 cold case homicide victim found near the Wyoming border in Jackson County.The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office in a Monday news release identified Jerry A. Mikkelson, 24, of Sioux Falls, S.D., who went missing in 1983, as the man found Oct. 18, 1987, dumped on a forest service road five miles south of the Wyoming border.A family member of Mikkelson filed a missing persons report stating he “willingly” left his home in Sioux Falls on Aug. 8, 1983, sheriff’s office officials said. Investigators believe Mikkelson spent time in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Olathe, Kansas; Wyoming; and possibly Colorado while he was missing.In June, the sheriff’s office and Colorado and Wyoming state investigators exhumed Mikkelson’s remains and collected new DNA samples. They also discovered a titanium rod put in his femur, and Mikkelson’s family confirmed he broke his femur and got the titanium rod six years before...
